Company Overview
At Martino HVAC, we offer indoor air solutions for residential new home construction, stacked townhouse units, custom homes, retrofits and light commercial applications. Our work is extensive: we design systems, manufacture components, install equipment and provide services for those in need.
General Summary
This position is responsible for preparing technical drawings on computerized software.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
· Coordinate the collection of data and incorporate this information into drawings and schematics.
· Generate HVAC design drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT software for new and existing products.
· Consult with architects, engineers, and designers while preparing drawings.
· Participate in space planning, block planning, finishes selection, layout creation, and detailed design drawings.
· Handle full set of working drawings containing material finishes, fixtures and millwork detailing.
· Conduct design concept development.
· Seek out and achieve design improvements and efficiencies through the design production process.
· File engineering drawings electronically.
· Clean up CAD files for project closeout.
· Adhere to the Company’s Technical Standards while maintaining brand standards.
· Strict adherence to all Company established procedures and policies, including Health and Safety.
· Special projects or other duties as required.
Qualifications:
· Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture/Architectural Technology or HVAC Technology or related “Technology” fields preferred.
Experience:
· Three (3) to five (5) years related experience.
Other Skills and Specialization:
· Building Code Identification Number (BCIN) Part 6 & Legal Examination Certification an asset.
· Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) Residential Air System Design Certificate (RASDT) or encompassing certifications leading to “RASDT” an asset.
· Design experience, preferably in Architectural or HVAC design.
· Proven knowledge of residential and commercial construction practices.
· Proficient knowledge of Ontario Building Code.
· Strong proficiency with AutoCAD/REVIT, Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
