Job Description

KimChi Korean Delight at St. Vital Centre Food Hall is looking for full-time Line Cooks. An ideal line cook at KimChi Korean Delight will be responsible for preparing and delivering the high quality dishes to our guests. You will prepare and cook our menu dishes with high consistency and efficiency. If you want to be part of our team and meet the qualification below, please apply today.

Responsibilities

• Implement kitchen safety standard and regulations; Prevent safety hazards.
• Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with requirements, such as kimchi rice, noodles, dumplings, soups, and stir frys; Learn new ingredient and culinary skills for seasonal dishes.
• Maintain kitchen inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
• Ensure the work environment is clean; Clean the kitchen area and equipment daily.

Basic Requirement

• Exceptional safety awareness and accident handling ability.
• Good acknowledge of Korean foods.
• Great customer service skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible available to work a variety of shifts including statutory holidays, weekends, and evenings.

Preferred Requirements

• Previous experience as cooking in Korean style restaurant is an asset.
• Formal Culinary training or certification is an asset.
