Wholesale Buyer (NOC 62101)

Location:  CEYCAN AGRO Ltd., 465 Milner Avenue, Unit 4, Toronto, ON, M1B 2K4
Salary$27.00 / hour

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time; 30 to 40 hours / week
Start date: As soon as possible

Job requirements

Languages:  English

Education:  Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience; Education can be substituted with extensive employment in a similar trade

Experience:

1 to 2 years of experience with at least 6 months of experience in purchasing for Food Industry.

As our store deals with Ethnic South Asian food; knowledge of South Asian food products is an asset.

Security and Safety:  Criminal record check

Job duties and responsibilities:

Maintain adequate stock levels.

Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms and transportation arrangements with suppliers,

Establish and maintain contact with suppliers,

Review requirements of establishment and determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase, Arrange product according to planogram,

Provide customer service.

Study market reports, trade periodicals and sales promotion materials and visit trade shows, showrooms, factories and product design events, when necessary.

Oversee distribution of merchandise to outlets.

Select and purchase merchandise for resale

Any other duties as assigned.
