• Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time 30 to 40 hours / week

Languages: English
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Work site environment: occasional confined spaces, Noisy, Hot, Must work in both office and manufacturing environment.
Own tools/equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Equipment. (employer will provide these tools and equipment or pay for the cost).

Area of specialization: Machinery and components, Moulds, tools, dies, jigs and fixtures; previous Knowledge of Quick Die Change (QDC) Hydraulic system.
Computer and Technology Knowledge: AutoCAD, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Project, MS Word, SolidWorks software
Security and safety: Basic security clearance
Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel regularly for customer locations. Cost will be covered by the employer.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Previous Knowledge of Quick Die Change (QDC) Hydraulic systems is required.
Responsible for providing professional level reading and explaining engineering design drawing to subordinates and customers.
Read the engineering plans and drawings for the QDC systems to oversee and ensure shipment of assemble components are to specifications.
Ensure that all products and or QDC systems shipped out from warehouse locations contain relevant components and related drawings.
Supervise the repairs to QDC products returned for repairs, test to ensure it meets quality specifications prior to being shipped back to customer.
Carry out inspection, test to identify faulty and repairable items to provide reports for quotations.
Conduct and supervise the assembly of QDC components and parts to form integral or complete product to specification.
Develop install, repair and service methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization.
Draft and design layout through the use of AUTO CAD and PLC for any installations.
Carry out a limited range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components and materials
Plan and establish sequence of operations for future installations any fabrication to meet specifications and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilization.
Estimate service, test and repair costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of product design changes on expenditures for management review, action, and control.
Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings and specifications
Supervise maintenance programs or operation of mechanical plants
Supervise, monitor and inspect mechanical installations and construction projects, Technical writing
Any other duties as assigned.
