Heavy-duty equipment operator Full Time

Job Position title: Heavy Equipment Operator Date prepared: Immediate Position level: Skilled operator Salary: 37 to 45$ per hour, depending on driving experience level. Also included are insurance, health and dental benefits, competitive compensation packages, overtime pay, and an RRSP matching program. Work environment: from Monday to Friday   Job Description: Our construction company has maintained a positive, family-style work environment for many years. We are seeking a dedicated, self-motivated, hard-working, and innovative person who commits to working in our construction company as a Heavy Equipment Operator on a full-time in our designed locations and sites. We aim to have a team-working person who drives or controls construction equipment to assist us in our residential or commercial construction projects in Vancouver. Based on our site of activities, applicants must have the ability and be willing to work in adverse conditions. This job position takes place at all hours of the day or evening, so the applicants have schedules that might include late evening hours. It would be best if you were willing to accommodate a plan that can require weekend work and the ability to commute and work in various weather conditions. Duties and responsibilities: Operate heavy equipment to move, load, and unload materials Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refill the equipment. Operate heavy paving and surfacing equipment to lay, spread, or compact concrete, Interpersonal skills and teamwork Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company’s operating safety policies and procedures. Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation. Provide feedback to supervisors and management on process improvements Possess a comprehensive understanding of tools and equipment required for the job Job Requirements ·         Some secondary school education is required. ·          Should be able to detect and fix operating problems. ·         At least three years of heavy equipment operating experience ·         Excellent communication skills and team working ·         There may be additional overtime required. Job applicants must be willing to work weekends when required ·         Completing a one-year apprenticeship program or some high school, college, or industry courses in heavy equipment operating combined with on-the-job training is required. Ability to adhere to the highest standards of safety and quality.
