Job requirements
Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, sidewalks, roads, or curbs, using a variety of hand and power tools.
Level, shape, and trowel concrete surfaces to achieve the desired texture and appearance.
Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surfaces, ensuring durability and strength.
Monitor the effects of weather and environmental conditions on the curing process, making adjustments as needed.
Repair and resurface existing concrete structures, as well as patching voids and defects in new concrete.
Set and align forms to ensure proper concrete placement and alignment according to project specifications.
Operate equipment such as screeds, trowels, and floats, ensuring proper maintenance and care of all tools and equipment.
Mix concrete by hand or with mechanical mixers to ensure consistency and quality.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and requirements of concrete finishing work.
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks and ensure project progress.
Maintain cleanliness and organization on the job site, including cleaning tools, equipment, and work areas after completing tasks.
