Question 1

Who may create an employer account?

Accepted Answer

A Canadian employer or an authorized representative may create an account to advertise a genuine current vacancy. The account and advertisement must accurately identify the employer. A representative must have authority to act for that employer.

Question 2

Is AllFirstNationsJobs.ca a recruiter or staffing agency?

Accepted Answer

No. The platform publishes job advertisements and may provide application-management tools. Employers decide whom to interview and hire.

Question 3

What information must a job advertisement include?

Accepted Answer

Include the employer's operating name, business address, public job title, number of vacancies, duties, employment type, wage or salary, hours, actual work location, requirements, closing date and a working application method.

Question 4

Does the platform verify or endorse employers?

Accepted Answer

The platform may review account, business-contact and advertisement information under its public standards. Review is not an endorsement, certification or guarantee. Applicants should also research employers independently.

Question 5

Can a representative post for an employer?

Accepted Answer

Yes, when the representative is authorized and identifies the actual employer. The representative must not describe itself as the hiring employer, a platform partner or an approved agent unless that statement is accurate and authorized.

Question 6

How long does a job remain public?

Accepted Answer

A free listing may remain public for up to 14 days. A paid listing may remain public for up to 60 days, or until its closing date or the employer closes it, whichever comes first. Package-credit validity does not keep a vacancy live for the entire package period.

Question 7

Can I edit or close a job?

Accepted Answer

Use the employer dashboard to correct material information and close a filled, withdrawn or unavailable vacancy immediately. Editing must not reset the original posting date.

Question 8

Does a package guarantee applications or hiring?

Accepted Answer

No. Publication does not guarantee views, applications, interviews or hiring. Results depend on the role, location, wage, requirements, advertisement quality and labour market.

Question 9

How should applicant information be handled?

Accepted Answer

Use applicant information only for the stated hiring purpose, limit access to authorized people, protect it appropriately and follow applicable privacy and employment law. Do not request unnecessary identity, banking or immigration documents at the application stage.

Question 10

How can an employer encourage Indigenous applicants?

Accepted Answer

Use respectful, accurate language and remove unnecessary barriers. Employers may welcome First Nations, Métis and Inuit applicants while keeping the opportunity open and lawful. Do not stereotype candidates or promise cultural safety that the organization has not established.

Question 11

Does publication certify an external legal or program requirement?

Accepted Answer

No. AllFirstNationsJobs.ca does not provide legal or immigration advice and does not certify compliance with an external law, authority or program. Employers must determine which requirements apply to their own circumstances.

Question 12

How are concerns reported?

Accepted Answer

Use Report this job on the advertisement or the Contact page. Include the Job ID and a factual description. The platform may pause, correct or remove content while a concern is reviewed.
