HYDROVAC TRUCK OPERATOR

Salary: $36.25 / hour Vacancies: 2 Employment groups: Youth, Veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces, Visible minorities, Persons with disabilities, Indigenous people, Newcomers to Canada, Seniors, Apprentices Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time 35-45 hours / week Start date: As soon as possible Employment conditions: On call, Overtime, Morning, Day, Evening, Shift, Weekend, Flexible hours Job requirements - Perform debris removal, slot trenching, daylighting and digging - Set up and inspect grounding and/or bonding mat procedures for Hydrovac operation - Operate Hydrovac trucks and equipment in a safe and professional manner - Monitor and maintain all Hydrovac equipment; ensure all components are in good working order and     adhering to maintenance schedules - Complete all required paperwork properly on a daily basis - Ensure proper function by performing pre and post trip inspections and general housekeeping - Complete and maintain Driver Logs per MTO Regulations - Maintain and use appropriate personal protective equipment - Driving experience with all weather and road conditions. - Good reading, verbal and written English skills. - Ability to read and understand all road signage. - Safety oriented, proactive and positive approach in the workplace. - Self-motivated, collaborative and able to work harmoniously within a team environment. - Open availability Monday to Friday, with weekend and after hours (nights) availability as needed. Short  notice work and overtime as required. - Safety equipment will be required such as, but not limited to: hard hat, safety boots, safety glasses, face mask/respirators, fall protection. - Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 60 pounds), working at heights, in confined spaces - Work environment: outdoors, public areas, construction sites or similar. Exposure to all seasonal weather, work areas that are dirty, dusty, wet and noisy - Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated (Project client requirement). - Previous Hydrovac, trucking, vacuum truck or other related experience preferred, but not required. Languages English Education Secondary school or equivalent experience Experience Previous Hydrovac, trucking, vacuum truck or other related experience preferred, but not required. Will Train.
