Salary: $36.25 / hour Vacancies: 2 Employment groups: Youth, Veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces, Visible minorities, Persons with disabilities, Indigenous people, Newcomers to Canada, Seniors, Apprentices Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time 35-45 hours / week Start date: As soon as possible Employment conditions: On call, Overtime, Morning, Day, Evening, Shift, Weekend, Flexible hours Job requirements - Perform debris removal, slot trenching, daylighting and digging - Set up and inspect grounding and/or bonding mat procedures for Hydrovac operation - Operate Hydrovac trucks and equipment in a safe and professional manner - Monitor and maintain all Hydrovac equipment; ensure all components are in good working order and adhering to maintenance schedules - Complete all required paperwork properly on a daily basis - Ensure proper function by performing pre and post trip inspections and general housekeeping - Complete and maintain Driver Logs per MTO Regulations - Maintain and use appropriate personal protective equipment - Driving experience with all weather and road conditions. - Good reading, verbal and written English skills. - Ability to read and understand all road signage. - Safety oriented, proactive and positive approach in the workplace. - Self-motivated, collaborative and able to work harmoniously within a team environment. - Open availability Monday to Friday, with weekend and after hours (nights) availability as needed. Short notice work and overtime as required. - Safety equipment will be required such as, but not limited to: hard hat, safety boots, safety glasses, face mask/respirators, fall protection. - Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 60 pounds), working at heights, in confined spaces - Work environment: outdoors, public areas, construction sites or similar. Exposure to all seasonal weather, work areas that are dirty, dusty, wet and noisy - Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated (Project client requirement). - Previous Hydrovac, trucking, vacuum truck or other related experience preferred, but not required.
