Full-time, Permanent

40 hours per week — Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

(Occasional evenings/weekends for emergency response)

Wage:

$26.22 per hour

Job Description / Duties:

We are seeking a motivated Restoration Technician to join our team at WINMAR® Nelson. You will be responsible for assisting in the restoration and repair of properties damaged by fire, water, wind, mould, and other environmental factors.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform demolition and cleanup of damaged areas

· Set up drying, dehumidification, and containment equipment

· Assist in mould remediation and hazardous material handling (training provided)

· Clean and deodorize affected areas using specialized equipment

· Handle materials and assist in debris removal

· Support skilled trades (e.g., carpenters and painters) during rebuilds

· Document work performed and maintain job site cleanliness

· Follow safety procedures and use appropriate PPE

· Participate in on-call emergency services when required

Skills & Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· 1–2 years of experience in construction or restoration preferred

· Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs

· Comfortable working in confined spaces and wearing respirators

· Strong communication and teamwork skills

· Valid Class 5 driver’s licence preferred

Work Environment:

· Physically demanding, fast-paced environment

· Indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditions

· Urban setting in a small city (limited public transit; driving recommended)
