Education
High school completion
Experience
Senior care or household management experience an asset
Languages
Basic knowledge of English
Job Duties
· Provide companionship and emotional support to the elderly, promoting social engagement and overall well-being.
· Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with the elderly’s dietary preferences and needs.
· Assist with grocery shopping, prescription pick-up, and other errands, as required.
· Accompany the elderly to appointments, social activities, recreational programs, and community events.
· Monitor the elderly’s general well-being.
· Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, vacuuming, dusting, washing dishes, changing bed linens, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
· Organize household items and assist with maintaining the client's personal belongings and living space.
· Provide assistance with correspondence, scheduling appointments, and other routine tasks.
· Maintain confidentiality and respect the elderly’s privacy, dignity, and personal preferences at all times.
· Ensure a safe home environment by identifying potential hazards and assisting with basic safety measures.
Other Information
Candidate must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must be willing to work on all shifts.
