1 year to less than 2 years experience as a retail store supervisor or retail store assistant manager

Responsibilities
Tasks
Direct and control daily operations
Plan and organize daily operations
Manage staff and assign duties
Locate, select and procure merchandise for resale
Develop and implement marketing strategies
Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
Supervise office and staff
Order merchandise
Assign sales workers to duties
Establish work schedules)
Organize and maintain inventory
Sell merchandise
Hire and train or arrange for training of staff
Authorize return of merchandise
Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers

Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to plan, organize, and oversee daily store operations.
Proficiency in basic computer applications and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
