Floor Covering Installer
Casper Flooring Ltd, located at 3195 Alea Court, Abbotsford, BC V2T 0A4, has an opening for a Floor Covering Installer to work on projects across the Lower Mainland and the Fraser Valley. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, with compensation of $30.00 per hour.
The ideal candidate will perform the following job duties:
• Remove existing floor covering and dispose of it.
• Assess condition and prepare subfloors for floor covering installation.
• Measure, cut and install various floor covering materials.
• Inspect, repair and replace existing damaged floor coverings.
• Stretch carpeting, remove and replace underpadding, use glue, nail and secure carpeting to the floor.
• Install hardwood floors using different installation methods as per the manufacturer’s specifications.
• Estimate labour and materials to complete the job.
• Other related duties as required.
Requirements:
• Completion of High School.
• A minimum of 2 years working as a professional floor covering installer is required.
• Ability to work on your knees for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English.
