(Cafe Manager)
We are looking for a Cafe Manager for Sweet Gallery located at 350 Bering Avenue Etobicoke, ON M8Z 3A9, Canada.

JOB DUTIES:
Oversee day-to-day café operations, ensuring seamless coordination between kitchen and front-of-house teams for exceptional service.
Train, schedule, and mentor staff on kitchen experience to improve workflows, food handling, and efficiency during prep and service.
Collaborate on developing new baked goods and seasonal offerings, using knowledge of ingredients, trends, and customer preferences.
Maintain consistency in food quality, portioning, and presentation while fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
Manage inventory of baking essentials (flour, sugar, dairy, etc.), minimizing waste and optimizing orders for freshness and cost-efficiency.
Monitor sales, labour costs, and margins, identifying opportunities to streamline operations and boost profitability.
Provide operational support during peak hours, overseeing workflow across service and kitchen areas to maintain quality, efficiency, and team coordination.
Enforce strict food safety and cleanliness standards, particularly in shared prep spaces and baking stations.
Maintain and troubleshoot café equipment (ovens, mixers, espresso machines) to ensure safety and functionality.
Uphold an organized, efficient workspace balancing culinary precision with a customer-first approach.
Foster relationships with local businesses and community organizations to increase brand presence. Organize and participate in local events to promote the café.
Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary School or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
Language: English
Annual Salary: $ 56,200 to $ 59,000 for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
