Farm Supervisor
Nirvair & Litt Farm Ltd. Located at 39330/39452 S Parallel Rd, Abbotsford, BC V3G 2T4 and 41575 No 4 Rd. Chilliwack, BC V2R 0M7, is looking for 1 Farm Supervisor. This is a year-round position.
Duties:
· Check and monitor for pests such as worms, caterpillars, snails, etc.
· Coordinate and supervise the farm operation.
· Train farm workers to perform specific tasks
· Prepare reports and weigh the fruit to be sold
· Check irrigation lines, schedule tasks to be performed depending on the season.
· Identify poorly drained areas
· Ability to take the necessary steps to improve the efficiency of the farm operation.
· May perform the same duties as workers supervised.
Skills required:
· Minimum 1-year experience as a farm supervisor or training in agriculture is required
· Ability to communicate in English.
· Ability to work long hours, early mornings, and weekends if required.
· Ability to work outdoors in ALL weather conditions. Heavy lifting required.
Salary offered: $19.00/hr. for 40 hours/week.
