Responsibilities
Seed and Germinate Crops
Prepare and plant seeds in trays according to farm production schedules and protocols.
Transplant Seedlings
Transfer seedlings into hydroponic growing systems with care to prevent damage.
Monitor Plant Growth
Observe crops daily for health, growth progress, and abnormalities.
Harvest Crops
Harvest lettuce and other produce according to quality standards and timing requirements.
Package Produce
Clean, sort, and package harvested crops for delivery to customers and distributors.
Maintain Sanitation Standards
Clean and sanitize work areas, tools, trays, and equipment to meet food safety standards.
Follow Biosecurity Protocols
Comply with strict rules to prevent contamination, including proper hygiene and restricted materials.
Operate Farm Equipment
Use tools and equipment such as pumps, trays, lighting systems, and packaging tools safely and properly.
Inspect Farm Systems
Check hydroponic systems for proper function, including water flow, lighting, and environmental conditions.
Report Issues Immediately
Notify supervisor of plant disease, pests, equipment failure, or safety concerns.
Assist with Nutrient Preparation
Prepare and handle nutrient solutions under supervision and according to instructions.
Maintain Clean Work Environment
Keep floors, workstations, and storage areas clean and organized at all times.
Load and Prepare Orders
Assist in preparing and loading orders for delivery to clients and markets.
Follow Health and Safety Procedures
Comply with workplace safety policies and use protective equipment as required.
Perform General Farm Duties
Assist with any additional tasks as assigned, including cleaning, organizing, and supporting farm operations.
