Job Description
Hotel Feng is seeking three full-time Front Desk Agents to provide professional and courteous guest services at our hotel in Parksville, British Columbia. The successful candidate will be responsible for front desk operations, guest check-in and check-out, reservations, and providing accurate information to ensure an excellent guest experience.
Key Job Duties
The Front Desk Agent will perform the following duties:
Greet guests upon arrival and provide courteous, professional customer service
Register guests, assign rooms, and issue room keys
Process guest check-ins and check-outs using the hotel reservation system
Take, modify, and cancel room reservations by phone, email, and in person
Respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel services, local attractions, and amenities
Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner
Receive and process payments, including cash, credit cards, and debit transactions
Balance cash drawers and complete shift reports
Maintain accurate guest records and reservation details
Communicate with housekeeping and maintenance departments regarding room status and guest needs
Answer telephone calls and relay messages
Ensure front desk area is clean, organized, and presentable
Follow hotel policies, procedures, and security protocols
Employment Requirements
Completion of secondary school is required
Previous experience in a hotel front desk, customer service, or hospitality role is an asset
On-the-job training will be provided
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Basic computer skills and ability to learn hotel management software
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct
