Position: Chef (2 vacancies)
Location: On-site, Etobicoke, Ontario
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: $36.00 per hour, 35 hours per week ( Overtime range at 1.5 times regular pay after 44 hrs/ week)
Work Schedule: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Flexible hours; schedule to be determined
Start Date: As soon as possible

Responsibilities
Tasks
· Estimate the amount and costs of supplies and food items
· Estimate labour costs
· Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory
· Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to the cooking staff
· Create new recipes
· Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
· Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
· Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions
· Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
· Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
· Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
· Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
