(Chef De Partie - Italian)
We are looking for an experienced Chef De Partie - Italian for The Food Dudes Inc., located at 24 Carlaw Ave Toronto, ON M4M 2R7, Canada.

Job Duties:
Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty Italian and Italian-inspired dishes, including fresh pastas, risottos, sauces, meats, seafood, and antipasti according to established recipes and quality standards.
Oversee a designated kitchen station and coordinate food preparation activities to ensure efficient workflow and consistent food quality.
Supervise and train cooks and kitchen assistants in food preparation techniques, Italian cooking methods, portion control, and kitchen safety procedures.
Assist the Executive Chef or Sous Chef in planning menus, estimating food requirements, and developing new Italian-inspired menu items.
Ensure proper preparation of ingredients including cutting and portioning meats and seafood, preparing sauces, cooking pasta and risotto, and preparing vegetables and garnishes.
Monitor food quality during preparation and service to ensure dishes meet established flavour, presentation, and portion standards.
Maintain inventory levels, monitor ingredient usage, and assist with ordering supplies while ensuring proper food storage and stock rotation.
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations, including maintaining a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and efficient meal service during restaurant operations and catered events.
Participate in the preparation and execution of large-scale catering services, weddings, and corporate functions, ensuring consistency and quality of food production.
Assist in controlling food costs by minimizing waste, maintaining portion control, and monitoring ingredient usage.
Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of kitchen equipment and report any maintenance needs to management.
Prerequisites:
Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent.
Experience & Skills: 3-5 years of experience as a chef
Cuisine: Italian specialty
Language: English
Hourly Salary: $36.00 to $38.00 for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
