Position Title: Supermarket Butcher
Location: 810 Quayside Drive, Suite 130, New Westminster, BC, V3M 6B9
Wage: $24.00 per hour
Start Date: As soon as possible
Vacancies: 1
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Benefits: 4% vacation pay
Main Job Duties
Cut, trim, bone, tie, and grind meats for sale at self-serve counters or according to customer orders
Prepare meat for special displays and/or delivery
Manage inventory, maintain sales records, and determine product quantities, product lines, and freshness based on customer requirements
Wrap and package prepared cuts of meat for retail and/or wholesale
Ensure food storage conditions are adequate and meet safety standards
Skills and Requirements
Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable with a combination of standing, walking, and lifting
Qualifications
Minimum Education: Completion of secondary school is required
Minimum Experience: No related experience required; training will be provided
