Responsibilities
Tasks
Ø Prepare production and other reports
Ø Recommend measures to improve productivity
Ø Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
Ø Supervise workers and projects
Ø Co-ordinate and schedule activities
Ø Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions
Ø Train or arrange for training
Ø Estimate costs and materials
Ø Set up equipment
Ø Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
Ø Recommend personnel actions
Ø Establish methods to meet work schedules
Ø Read blueprints and drawings
Ø Requisition materials and supplies
Ø Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
