• Wage: $25.00/hour
• Work Hours: 30 to 44 hours per week

• Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist with site preparation, cleanup, and material handling at waste removal,
demolition, and excavation sites.
• Load and unload waste materials, debris, and salvaged items; transport materials to designated areas.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively as required.
• Assist in demolishing structures; sort, clean, and pile salvaged materials for recycling or disposal.
• Remove rubble and debris using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other
equipment.
• Assist heavy equipment operators and signal operators to guide equipment
movement.
• Clean up chemical spills and assist in the removal of hazardous materials in
compliance with regulations.
• Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment.
• Education: Completion of secondary high school
• Experience: Prior 1 year of experience or knowledge in related field is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
• Language: English
• Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
• Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots; Safety glasses/goggles; Gloves; Hard hat; High-visibility vest
• Work Site Environment: Outdoors; on the road; exposed to varying weather conditions; dusty; noisy; multiple work locations across HRM and surrounding areas
• Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Frequent or constant travel required; strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods; excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude; willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks
