Position Summary
The Cabinetmaker is responsible for preparing, modifying, and supporting the installation of custom built-in cabinetry and architectural millwork components for residential interior construction projects. The role focuses on interpreting approved drawings, inspecting and operating woodworking machinery to adjust custom cabinetry components fabricated according to approved project drawings and delivered from the headquarters, and coordinating these components for on-site installation. All work is performed in direct support of interior finish carpentry and installation activities and does not involve mass production or manufacturing.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interpret drawings, design specifications, and installation plans for custom built-in cabinetry projects
- Inspect, prepare, and modify cabinetry components received from approved suppliers to meet project specifications
- Operate CNC machines, edge banders, table saws, and related woodworking equipment for project-specific adjustments and installation fit
- Prepare, assemble, and stage cabinetry parts and hardware for on-site residential installation projects
- Identify and resolve issues related to damaged, miscut, or non-conforming components
- Coordinate with installation teams and project managers to ensure proper fit and installation
- Maintain accurate project-based tracking of materials related to construction projects
- Provide technical support to installation teams as required for proper fit and installation of cabinetry components
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance related to cabinetry preparation and machinery operation
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and proper use of tools and equipment
Academic, Training and Experience Qualifications
- Secondary school graduation certificate is required
- 3~5 years of experience in custom cabinetry or millwork
Employment Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and installation plans
- Knowledge of materials, hardware, and cabinetry installation processes
- Experience with woodworking machinery (CNC, edge bander, table saw)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse/production environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a production/shop environment.
Wage
- $26.6 per hour for 30~40 hours a week at 52 weeks a year
