Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine project specifications and material needs.
- Ensure layouts meet building codes using accurate measuring tools.
- Cut, shape, assemble, and join materials like wood, composites, and lightweight steel.
- Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and build walls and roof structures.
- Install and finish trim work, including doors, stairs, molding, and hardware.
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and renovations on residential and commercial wooden structures in various settings, such as mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial facilities.
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
