Position Summary
The Fitness Program Consultant (Taekwondo) leads the strategic planning and coordination of the studio’s educational programs, focusing on curriculum development, program design, and operational improvement. The role strengthens the overall training framework to ensure consistent standards and instructional quality.
With over 600 registered students, multiple age-divided programs, and seven instructors, our studio operates as a large-scale training facility. Accordingly, the position oversees structured curriculum systems across all divisions to maintain consistency and quality across a broad student base. Responsibilities also include developing age-appropriate curricula for preschool (Little Tiger), youth (Kids Classes), teenagers, and adult and family programs, while integrating character development elements—such as discipline, leadership, and focus—into the overall training structure.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Design and structure Taekwondo (martial arts) curriculum and program frameworks for all age groups
· Lead long-term strategic program planning and curriculum optimization aligned with the organizational objectives of the studio
· Develop operational strategies to enhance program effectiveness and student outcomes
· Incorporate character development elements into training programs
· Manage evaluation systems and progress reporting to monitor student development
· Oversee instructional standards to ensure program quality
· Develop instructor training systems and operational frameworks
· Analyze performance data and implement improvements
· Manage program resources in compliance with safety and operational standards
Academic, Training and Experience Qualifications
· University degree or college diploma in Sports Administration, Physical Education, or a related field is required
· Several years (2 or 3 years) of professional experience in Taekwondo (Martial Arts) or sports program development and instruction is required
Employment Requirements
· Sufficient practical skill and understanding of Taekwondo and martial arts principles
· Knowledge of curriculum design and educational program planning
· Strong leadership and communication skills for program development and instructor coordination
· Experience in student evaluation and program development for skill progression
· Ability to communicate effectively with parents and provide educational guidance
· Basic computer skills for documentation and program administration
Wage
· CAD 36.00 per hour for 30-40 hours per week at 52 weeks a year
