Assistant Manager - food services
We are looking for an experienced Assistant manager - food services for Aramark 6230 Coburg Road, Halifax, Nova Scotia, B3H 4J5, Canada.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Assist in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating daily food service operations to ensure efficient and consistent service delivery.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service supervisors, cooks, and support staff to maintain operational standards.
Monitor staffing levels and prepare work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and effective labour utilization.
Participate in recruitment, training, and performance management of food service staff.
Oversee food production and service activities to ensure quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate ordering of food and supplies to maintain uninterrupted operations.
Assist in managing operating costs, including food and labour expenses, and support budget control measures.
Resolve customer service issues and respond to client feedback in a timely and professional manner.
Implement company policies, operational procedures, and service standards across the food service unit.
Act on behalf of the Food Service Manager in their absence, ensuring smooth and continuous operation of the unit.
Prerequisites:
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience.
Experience & Skills: 5 years or more experience as Assistant Manager in the Food Industry or equivalent.
Language: English.
Hourly Rate: $22 to $24.00 per hour for 30 to 40 hours per week.
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full time and permanent
Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay
