Swiss Chalet/Harveys, located at 319 Highway 47 Uxbridge, Ontario, is urgently seeking a dedicated, results‑driven Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations and ensure every guest enjoys a safe, exceptional, and memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate must be a hands‑on leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, consistently delivers outstanding customer service, and contributes to the ongoing success and growth of the restaurant.
Job Duties of this position include:
· Plan, organize and oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations to ensure efficient and seamless service.
· Prepare, coordinate, and adjust staff schedules; monitor performance to maintain productivity and service excellence.
· Maintain & manage an accurate inventory of food items and restaurant supplies.
· Liaise with vendors and distributors to place timely orders and ensure consistent supply availability.
· Address & resolve customer complaints promptly while upholding high standards of service.
· Prepare operational reports, performance analyses, and other documentation to support strategic decision‑making.
· Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms.
· Uphold strict sanitary practices in food handling and cleanliness
· Enforce strict sanitary and food‑handling practices in compliance with health and safety regulations.
· Implement and enforce labour policies, operational procedures, and company standard
· Oversee portion control, food preparation quantities, and waste‑reduction strategies to manage costs effectively.
· Develop and implement operational improvements to enhance workplace efficiency, team performance, and guest satisfaction.
Overtime: 1.5 times the wage after 44 hours per week.
Experience & Skills:
· 1-2 years
· Demonstrated passion for hospitality and guest service (“Hospitality Gene”).
