We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Caregiver in Maple, Ontario to provide personal support, companionship, and daily living assistance to a woman with significant mobility and health challenges. The ideal candidate must be mature, patient, and experienced in providing care to individuals with physical limitations and must be able to support daily needs with empathy, respect, and professionalism. Key responsibilities of this position:
· Prepare and serve meals in accordance with prescribed dietary requirements.
· Assisting with daily living activities.
· Perform routine housekeeping duties like changing bed linen, wash and iron laundry, keeping bedroom and washroom neat and clean and aired.
· Provide safe mobility support.
· Assist with prescribed physiotherapy or exercise routines as directed by healthcare professionals.
· Provide companionship, emotional support, and social interaction.
· Accompany to doctor’s appointments.
· Monitor and report changes in the client’s condition, behavior, or mobility to family members or healthcare providers.
· Provide mobility assistance in and around the house and ensure safety at all times.
· Support with personal organization and keeping essential items accessible.
· Run occasional errands
· Assist with morning and bedtime routines.
Other requirements:
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Police background check required
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Wage: $21 per hour for 40 hours per week. 2 days off per week. Days of work could vary depending on care needs.
Overtime: 1.5 times the wages after 44 hours per week.
Experience: 7 months to 1 year experience as a Caregiver/Nurse or related occupation.
Education: Secondary School. Training programs in elderly care/home support will be an asset.
