Work location: On site

Salary: $34.00 hourly / 40 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent employment; Full time; working hours may be during early morning, morning, evening, night, day, weekend; overtime available

Start date: as soon as possible

Education:  Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience:  2 years to less than 3 years

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Tasks

·         Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials

·         Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade

·         Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement

·         Operate power vibrators to compact concrete

·         Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification

·         Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages

·         Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools

·         Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures

·         Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces

·         Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces

·         Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures

·         Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications

Experience and specialization with these types of materials:

·         Colours and sealers

·         Hardners and epoxies

·         Light weight concrete

·         Mastic flooring

·         Reinforcing membrane and protective covering

Security and safety: Basic security clearance
