Web Designer

We are currently seeking to hire a web designer
Benefit: 2 weeks annual vacation

Location: 430 Albert St, Waterloo, ON N2L 3V3
Details of this position:
• Monday to Friday, with some weekend work during busy season
• Permanent, Full time
• 30 hours a week Minimum
• $36.05/hour

Requirements of this position:
Maintain documentation related to website design standards, updates, and development processes
Design, develop, and maintain company websites to ensure a visually appealing and functional online presence
Establish and implement website design guidelines, standards, and best practices
Manage and update website content using content management systems and web development tools
Integrate features and functionalities such as forms, multimedia, and interactive components
Monitor website performance and conduct regular testing to identify and resolve design issues
Ensure websites are responsive and consistent with company design standards
Design visual imagery, graphics, and digital elements aligned with the company’s brand identity
Create website banners, icons, illustrations, and other digital assets
Maintain consistent visual branding and design standards across website pages
Optimize website content, images, and layouts to improve load speed and usability
- Create and update website layouts, navigation structures, and interface elements to improve usability
- Ensure websites are optimized for different browsers, devices, and screen sizes
- Monitor website analytics and user feedback to improve design
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to translate business needs into website design solutions
- Coordinate updates to website graphics, content, and functionality
Occasional Duties:
Manage company social media platforms
Create and schedule content
Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns, including online advertisements
Monitor and optimize campaign performance
Administer and maintain computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure
Perform regular system maintenance, backups, and recovery procedures
Monitor network traffic, system performance, and security
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues
Support daily IT operations and manage business technologies including computers, smartphones, and debit/point-of-sale terminals
Maintain and manage online CRM systems
Handle data updates, workflows, and reporting
What will you need?
- At least 24 months experience working in graphic design or web design
- A bachelor’s degree
