THE POSITION NAME
Power System and Energy Engineer (NOC 21310)
responsible for the analysis, design, and optimization of power systems, using mathematical models, software tools, and engineering principles to solve power generation, transmission, distribution, and utilization problems. They also conduct research and development to improve existing technologies and create new solutions.

DUTIES
Project Delivery: Design electrical and electronic circuits, components, systems and equipment
Produce design specifications based upon product requirements, develop product hardware, perform tests, and support
Qualification and certification testing of the product
designing and implementing architectures such as microgrids and smart grids;
performing studies like load flow and short circuit analysis; evaluating and optimizing performance, reliability, security, efficiency, and economics;
applying standards and regulations for design and operation; and collaborating with other engineers on projects
Leading project planning activity, creating task schedule as a key member of each project
Install, operate, maintain and repair Static Uninterruptable Power Systems and Rotary Uninterruptable Power Systems
Overhaul electrical generation systems and equipment
Produce designs and specifications；produce electrical drawings

REQUIREMENT
At least 3-to-5-year experience in the similar industry with similar position and tasks
In-depth knowledge of similar industry
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
A Bachelor’s in a related industry and a master’s degree is an asset.
Outstanding customer service skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to track small details
Knowledge of UL, CSA and CE standards applicable to drive design (e.g. IEC62477-1, UL/IEC 61800-5-1, IEC 61800-3)
Knowledge of functional safety standards like IEC61508, IEC62061, ISO13849, IEC61800-5-2 and etc.
