Chef De Partie - Curry
We are looking for a well-experienced Chef De Partie - Curry to work for Sula Indian Restaurant Main Street located at 4172 Main St, Vancouver, BC V5V 3P7, Canada.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, organize, and oversee all curry section operations, setting daily production targets based on dine-in volume, takeout demand, and reservations.
Lead preparation of Indian curry dishes, ensuring consistency in gravies, spice profiles, and traditional cooking techniques across high-volume service.
Control bulk production of curry bases (makhani, korma, masala, saag), optimizing batch cooking, holding, and finishing methods for efficiency and quality.
Execute precise spice tempering (tadka), sauce finishing, and protein integration to maintain authenticity and standardized taste profiles.
Determine daily mise en place requirements for curry operations, forecasting quantities of sauces, proteins, and spices to support continuous service.
Supervise and coordinate cooks assigned to the curry section, managing workflow, timing, and station discipline during peak service hours.
Enforce portion control, recipe adherence, and quality standards for all curry dishes to maintain consistency and control food costs.
Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to align curry output with overall menu execution, service timing, and multi-channel order flow (dine-in, delivery, catering).
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
Experience & Skills: 3 years to less than 5 years in the Food Industry.
Language: English
Other skills;
Good Knowledge of Indian Cuisine
Hourly Rate: $36.60 for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
