Job Description
Ayton Residential Lodge, located at 1010 Victoria Street in Ayton Ontario, is seeking a dependable and compassionate Respite Care Aide to assist residents in a long-term care setting. This role involves supporting individuals with daily living activities and promoting a safe and respectful environment.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with personal care (bathing, dressing, hygiene)
Serve meals and assist with feeding
Lift, transfer, and reposition residents
Make beds and maintain clean living areas
Support recreational and physical activities
Monitor residents and report any changes to staff
Maintain inventory of supplies
Requirements
College certificate or diploma in a related field (or equivalent experience)
2–3 years of experience in a healthcare or care facility setting
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Work Conditions
On-site work (no remote option)
Standing, walking, and lifting required
Rural location (reliable transportation recommended)
