We are currently looking for professional EXPERIENCED flooring and tiling estimator to join our Team. As we cover the whole of British Columbia, candidates must be able to travel all over British Columbia.
Job Title: Flooring and Tiling Estimator (NOC 22303)
Job duties
· Prepare estimates of probable costs of materials, labour and equipment for construction projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings and specifications
· Establish and maintain tendering process and set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures
· Prepare cost and expenditure statements and forecasts at regular intervals for the duration of a project
· Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
· Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors, and prepare economic feasibility studies on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
· Manage and coordinate construction projects and prepare construction progress schedules.
· Must read blueprint and perform take off with software provided
· Create bid proposals and submit
· Present and Explain Proposal to Client
Requirements
· Completion of at least a college degree or higher preferably related to construction
· Be able to speak English
· Must have at least 2 years experience in estimating and managing projects in flooring and tiling (preferably 5 years)
· Familiar with Flooring and Tiling Materials Specifications
· Familiar with Labor Costing for Flooring and Tiling.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
· Able to operate STACK take-off and estimating software
· Able to cost and calculate proper quantity of flooring and tiling materials and its accessories per project
· Has good knowledge in quality standards for flooring and tiling.
· Must own a vehicle, hard hat, safety vest and steel toed boots.
· Must know how to use a laser measure and measure the site area.
· Willing to travel to sites in various locations in British Columbia
· Must have a British Columbia driver’s license
Position Details
Position Available: Flooring and Tiling Estimator (NOC 22303)
Terms of Employment: Full Time
Working Hours: 30-40 hours per week from Monday to Sunday (Flexible depending on customer)
Salary: $37 to $42 per hour (depending on experience)
