Position Summary: You will report to and assist the Front of House Manager with the day-to-day operational needs of our various food and beverage outlets situated in multiple locations across the resort. Your experience in food and beverage will ensure you can drive solutions and quickly adapt to changing priorities while reinforcing Fairmont Hot Springs Resort’s brand and culture.

· Salary: $24.00 / hour

· Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time 30 - 40 hours / week

Job requirements
Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: 1 to less than 2 years’ proven experience working in a dedicated food and beverage environment including leadership experience.
Credentials: Safe Food Handling certificate (can be obtained and provide within 3 weeks of commencing employment
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods. Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50lbs as well as be physically fit enough to regularly complete physical inspections of all.

Job duties and Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the Front of House Lead Supervisor include but are not limited to:
· As directed by the Front of House Manager and the Director of Guest Services , contribute to the strategic and operational leadership across all food and beverage outlets throughout the resort.
· Assist with the management of the day-to-day operations of all food and beverage outlets across the resort. Must be able to work in office-based, and be actively presence on the floor to lead your team to deliver excellent service.
· Embrace and embed the operational goals for all food and beverage outlets across the resort, both from an individual and collective perspective. Ensure each outlet retains a unique identity and flavour, while delivering a cohesive dining experience and service level across all outlets.
· Assist the Front of House Manager with the monitoring of and reporting against the food and beverage operational goals and budget.
· Provide support for all aspects of our banquets, catering, and special events offerings, ensuring the front of house team works in collaboration with relevant other departments to meet the needs of our guests and clients. Participate in and contribute to all pre-event planning meetings, ensuring that the BEO is accurate, detailed, and communicated in a timely manner. Oversee all set-up and pack-down of resort-based banquets and special events.
· Contribute to the accurate and detailed costing for all banquets, catering, and special events.
· Participate in regular inventory and stock control for all food and beverage outlets, including regular reconciliation, and early identification of any associated issues or concerns with stock control.
· Assist the Front of House Manager with the development of a defined and detailed Recruitment Strategy, including participating in the recruitment and orientation of new Supervisors and Services as required.
· Provide direct leadership to all Food and Beverage Service staff, including but not limited to training, coaching, regular one-to-ones, action and goal planning, etc. Support other Supervisors to deliver the same to allocated Servers.
· Manage the accurate, timely, and cost-efficient scheduling of staff for all food and beverage outlets across the resort. Assist the Front of House Manager with monitoring the labour budget against opening hours, demand, etc.
· Train and lead all Supervisors and Servers in all aspects of front of house operations to ensure service standards are communicated, understood, and adhered to.
· Assist with the development and implementation of Standard Operating Practices for all aspects of the food and beverage outlets’ operation.
· Understand food and beverage products and services, assist with the development of new prospects for opportunity, and understand guest needs clearly.
· Assist the Front of House Manager with the ongoing review of current practices and processes, identifying potential barriers or areas of conflict, and contributing ideas to improve current business methods, quality of products and guest service.
· Promote health and safety awareness throughout all food and beverage outlets, including participating in general and role-specific orientation of new staff. Contribute to the delivery of ongoing regular and relevant health and safety training across all aspects of the food and beverage operation.
· Co-operate and accept other assignments from the Front of House Manager as and when required.
