This role Involves both office-based planning (contracts, budgets) and on-site, hands-on event execution.

· Salary: 56,500 annually
· Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, 30 hours per week
· Must be flexible to work any assigned shift as per business needs, including Early morning, Evening, Morning, Night, Day, Weekends and holidays.

Education: Completion of a college or other program OR several years of experience in the hospitality industry.
Experience :1 year to less than 2 years in event planning in the hospitality industry.
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Responsibilities and Tasks
· Plan, coordinate, and set up logistics for social events and meetings, including layout design (seating/staging), décor placement, and scheduling, parking, and communication systems.
· Determine requirements for hospitality services, signage, multi-media equipment, printing and other technical services, and arrange for and manage contracts for these services.
· Plan for social events and guest programs.
· Develop and implement event plans.
· Promote conference and meeting services or special events to potential clients to boost revenue.
· Co-ordinate and monitor events, conference and meeting activities and attend to related details.
· Act as the primary contact for clients to define event scope and manage contracts with external service providers.
· Co-ordinate media services.
· Develop marketing and communication plans, media strategies and public relations activities.
· Hire, train, and supervise support staff and volunteers during events.
· Prepare, manage and present event budgets, approve vendor invoices, and analyze costs to maximize restaurant profits.
· Present final financial reports to the management.
· Develop sponsorship, partnership or fundraising programs
· Arrange for production or purchase of promotional products
· Implement social programs, food and beverage, transportation, and other services
· Plan and arrange for trade shows and exhibits
· Plan for required documentation and for pre- and post-distribution of documentation (itineraries, evaluations etc.)
· Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities.
· Supervise setup and teardown, ensure cleanliness of event areas, and coordinate with kitchen/service staff.
· Perform any other duties as per business requirements.
Work conditions, physical capabilities, and Personal suitability:
Event planner at Queens Harbour requires high energy and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume, and sometimes high-stress, client-focused restaurant environment. Key physical capabilities include standing for long periods, bending, reaching, moving around the restaurant floor, and lifting materials. Sustained standing and walking while overseeing events and coordinating with staff. Attention to detail, Meet tight deadlines. Accurate, Client focus, Efficient interpersonal skills, Excellent oral communication, Excellent written communication, Flexibility, Initiative, Organized, Team player, Time management. Requiring strong multitasking abilities.
