• Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operate dump trucks weighing over 4,500 kg to transport gravel, sand, soil, construction debris,
and other bulk materials to and from job sites
• Load and unload materials using the dump truck's hydraulic system; ensure cargo is properly
secured and distributed within legal weight limits
• Plan routes and meet delivery and project schedules
• Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes,
and fluid levels
• Complete logbooks, trip records, and all required documentation
• Communicate with dispatch, site supervisors, and loader operators using two-way radios and
mobile phones
• Comply with all provincial and federal transportation regulations and company safety policies
• Perform emergency roadside repairs if necessary
• Requirements
• Education: Completion of secondary high school
• Language: English
• Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience operating dump trucks or heavy transport trucks
• Licences & Certifications:
• Valid Class 3 (or Class 1) licence
• Air brake endorsement (Z)
