Drops of Jupiter Inc. is a Winnipeg based retail and wholesale company specializing in crystals, minerals, décor, and online commerce.

Founded in late 2021, the business grew from a personal search for calm and meaning into a steadily expanding, community driven brand built through online engagement, live sales, and genuine connection with customers.

The company operates an established e‑commerce website system that supports online sales, live sale activity, and a large catalogue of unique products, and continues to grow intentionally while remaining family run and closely managed.

Drops of Jupiter Inc. has a vacancy for 1 full time and permanent, Electronic Commerce (E‑commerce) Website Developer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the end‑to‑end development, maintenance, optimization, and enhancement of the company’s e‑commerce websites and related systems, with occasional attendance at local or international trade shows as required.

Work site on premises. Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Duties and Responsibilities

·       Design and integrate website related code

·       Determine hardware and software requirements to achieve optimal server performance Develop website architecture

·       Write, modify and test website related code

·       Write, modify, integrate and test software code

·       Maintain existing computer programs by making modifications as required

·       Prepare mock-ups and storyboards

·       Communicate technical problems, processes and solutions.

·       Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software.

·       Source, select and organize information for inclusion and design the appearance, layout and flow of the Website.

·       Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements.

·       Create and optimize content for Website using a variety of graphics, database, animation and other software.

·       Assist in the development of logical and physical specifications.

·       Research and evaluate a variety of interactive media software products.

·       Write, modify, integrate and test software code for e-commerce and other Internet applications.

·       Visit trade shows, showrooms, factories and product design events.

Requirements and Specialization

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, web development, software engineering, or a related field.
  OR

• Completion of a college program in computer science, web development, or a related field, combined with relevant work experience.

Experience:

·       5 years or more experience in web development

·       Entrepreneurship

Language:

Fluent in English (oral and written)

Working Hours

·       6 hours per day, 30 hours per week, full time.

Wages & Overtime

• $33.33 per hour

·        Overtime may be required based on operational needs, paid at $50.00 per hour after 40 hours per week.
