1 position – Restaurant Manager (60030)

DESCRIPTION:
Applications from Canadian citizens and permanent residents are the only ones going to be considered.
DUTIES – RESTAURANT MANAGER:
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations for special events
Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
Recruit staff and oversee staff training
Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance
Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices
Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
Negotiate arrangements with clients for catering or use of facilities for banquets or receptions.
Ensure dishes are served appropriately for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Inspect kitchens and food service areas
Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
Ensure cleanliness kitchen and work areas
Manage kitchen operations
Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
LANGUAGES:
English
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Completion of College or other program related to hospitality
1 year to less than 2 years in related or supervisory experience in food service
HOURLY WAGE OFFERED:
$37.00 hourly
30 hours per week
$55.5 hourly overtime over 40 hours
