Tasks:
l Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment
l Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment
l Read blueprints to determine work requirements
l Repair cable signals
l Test equipment to locate transmission faults
l Complete and maintain test and service reports
l Determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble
l Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures
l Maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems
l Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers and amplifiers
l Splice, join, and connect wires
Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses: Working at Heights training
Equipment and Machinery experience: Fibre optics, Single line, Splitters
Security and Safety: Driver's validity licence check
Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence, Own transportation, Vehicle supplied by employer
