FULL JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
We are seeking a talented, driven individual to join our team as a Breakfast Cook. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a crucial role in supervising kitchen operations, ensuring top-notch food service, and upholding the highest standards of quality and cleanliness. If you are passionate about the culinary arts, possess exceptional leadership abilities, and have a solid background in cooking, we want to hear from you!
• Lead the team in successful service, ensuring that dishes look and taste as they should.
• Consistently monitor kitchen operations, processes, and systems to ensure efficiency, cleanliness, best practices and safety.
• Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with fellow chefs and Front of House management alike.
• Support every level of ordering and receiving, maintaining product par levels, ensuring FIFO rotation and safe storage.
• Support and create a culture centred around a healthy and happy employee experience and a genuine passion for industry, cooking, hospitality and food & beverage.
• Bring fresh ideas to improve processes and procedures, as well as ideas for menu development and innovation, to the Executive Chef.
• Demonstrate a high degree of personal integrity in every leadership decision.
• Conduct recruitment and selection, training and development initiatives, as well as performance management and employee coaching.
• Maintain and build relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within the food service industry. Profound knowledge of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking techniques and sanitation practices. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced setting
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities. The capability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines
Skills: Supervising: Proficient in managing and leading a team of kitchen staff
Kitchen: Skilled in all facets of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and equipment utilization.
Food service: Well-versed in delivering exceptional customer service within a food service environment
Food industry: Familiarity with industry trends, regulations, and best practices
Cook: Experienced in preparing various dishes with precision and attention to detail
Food handling: Understanding of proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality
Team management: Ability to promote teamwork and collaboration among kitchen staff
Help: Willingness to assist team members and customers as required
