We are looking for well experienced Cooks for a well-known restaurant “The Dunes Restaurant & Bar” located at 11 Southampton Pkwy, Sauble Beach, ON, N0H 2G0, Canada.

JOB DUTIES:
Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes, appetizers, entrées, and specialty menu items in accordance with established recipes, presentation standards, and customer specifications.
Ensure consistent food quality, portion control, taste, and presentation standards while meeting service timelines in a fast-paced restaurant and bar environment.
Prepare and cook meals for customers with food allergies, dietary restrictions, and special requests while following food safety and cross-contamination prevention procedures.
Estimate food requirements and assist in determining appropriate food portions and ingredient usage to minimize waste and control food costs.
Requisition and organize food, beverages, and kitchen supplies, ensuring adequate inventory levels to support daily operations.
Monitor the quality and freshness of ingredients, rotating stock using proper food storage and handling procedures.
Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock counts, supply tracking, and ordering requirements.
Train and assist kitchen helpers and junior staff in food preparation techniques, cooking methods, portioning, sanitation practices, and safe food handling procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen, workstations, equipment, and food preparation areas in accordance with public health regulations and workplace safety standards.
Coordinate with other kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient meal production and timely service during peak operating periods.
Follow all food safety, WHMIS, sanitation, and occupational health and safety policies while contributing to a safe and productive work environment.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $ 18.00 to $ 20.00 per hour for 30 to 40 hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay
