Happy Village Restaurant is seeking a dependable and motivated Kitchen Helper to join our team.
Position
Kitchen Helper (Full-Time, Permanent)
Wage
$18.25 – $18.35 per hour (negotiable based on experience)
Hours
30–40 hours per week
Schedule
Day, evening and weekend shifts available. Flexible scheduling may be required.
Start Date
September 1, 2026
Job Duties
Bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas
Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and utensils
Sanitize and wash dishes, pots and pans by hand
Package take-out food orders
Clean and sanitize kitchen work surfaces, equipment, cupboards and storage areas
Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers and storage areas
Remove kitchen garbage and recycling
Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruits
Keep records of food quantities used
Handle and store cleaning products safely
Assist kitchen staff with general food preparation and cleaning duties
Requirements
No degree, certificate or diploma required
Previous kitchen or food service experience is an asset
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Physically capable of standing for extended periods
Able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Reliable, positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
