Senior Aluminum Welder (Precision Welder)
Unlike steel, aluminum offers very little margin for error. Success depends on getting it right the first time through precise preparation, process control, and welding technique.
As a Senior Aluminum Welder, you perform all duties of an Welder-assembler, including GMAW aluminum welding, blueprint interpretation, weld inspection, and fabrication of aluminum trailer components.
This position represents the next level of progression between an Aluminum Welder and an Aluminum Welder-Fitter.
The Senior Aluminum Welder is expected to perform complex and high-precision aluminum welds, interpret and adapt detailed blueprints, work effectively in multiple welding positions, and consistently achieve higher quality standards. This role also provides technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced welders while helping maintain production efficiency and product quality.
While the position demands advanced aluminum welding skills and a high level of craftsmanship, its primary focus remains welding excellence and typically requires 3+ years of aluminum welding experience in the trailer or heavy equipment industry.
