Experienced Thai Cuisine Chefs
Jatujak Thai Restaurant Richmond Hill is seeking two experienced Thai cuisine chefs to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. Inspired by Bangkok’s iconic Jatujak (Chatuchak) Market, our restaurant brings the vibrant flavours, energy, and hospitality of Thailand to guests in Richmond Hill. The successful candidates will help lead kitchen operations, prepare authentic Thai dishes, maintain high food quality standards, and support a professional, efficient kitchen team.
Job Details
· Location: 10255 Yonge Street, Suite 1, Richmond Hill, ON L4C 3B2
· Work location: On site
· Salary: $36.00 per hour for 80 hours bi-weekly
· Terms of employment: Permanent, full-time employment
· Schedule: Day, evening, night, weekend, shift, flexible hours, or as determined
· Start date: As soon as possible

Requirements
Language: English
Education: Secondary school graduation certificate
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of relevant experience
Asset language: Thai
Work Environment and Setting
· Restaurant environment
· Work must be completed on site; remote work is not available
· Work site conditions may include noise, odours, and hot temperatures
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and cook authentic Thai meals, specialty dishes, and menu items for regular service, special guests, and events.
· Plan menus, develop new recipes, and ensure all dishes meet established quality standards.
· Estimate food and supply requirements, requisition kitchen supplies, and maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
· Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances while following safe food-handling practices.
· Demonstrate cooking techniques, introduce new equipment, and train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, handling, garnishing, and presentation.
· Supervise cooks, sous-chefs, specialist chefs, and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient daily kitchen operations.
· Provide leadership, instruction, and guidance to kitchen team members.

· Supervise a team of 5 to 10 people
