We are seeking a highly qualified, reliable, and experienced Shift Restaurant and Food Service Manager with strong expertise in authentic Thai restaurant operations.
Khao Thai is an established authentic Thai restaurant in Ottawa’s ByWard Market, dedicated to traditional Thai cuisine, genuine hospitality, and high-quality dining, takeout, and reservation services. The successful candidate must demonstrate sound knowledge of Thai ingredients, flavours, cooking methods, menu standards, customer service expectations, and the day-to-day management required to maintain an authentic Thai dining experience.

Responsibilities/ Tasks
Evaluate daily operations
Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget
Monitor staff performance
Plan and organize daily operations
Set staff work schedules
Supervise staff
Train staff
Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
Conduct performance reviews
Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities
Provide customer service
Manage events
