Lead Developer, Stock Market Research Dashboard
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Fintech Frontend Developer to take ownership of a hosted stock market research dashboard built for North American financial markets. This is a senior technical role for someone who has already delivered sophisticated market data, options analytics, and trading-related frontend products in a production fintech environment.
This is not a general frontend development position. The successful candidate must bring deep, hands-on experience with financial market data platforms, options data, trading workflows, and structured release delivery for financial software.
Role Overview
The Lead Developer will be responsible for leading frontend development across a hosted stock market research dashboard, including market data presentation, options analytics, trading-related datasets, API-driven workflows, streaming data, reporting interfaces, and production release execution.
This role requires a developer who can operate with a high degree of independence, make strong technical decisions, understand the sensitivity of financial data accuracy, and deliver within disciplined sprint and release cycles. The candidate must be comfortable working in an environment where precision, performance, maintainability, and release reliability are essential.
Required Experience and Qualifications
The candidate must have a minimum of 6 years of experience as a frontend developer in fintech, with direct experience building financial market data applications, research platforms, trading tools, or comparable capital markets software.
The candidate must have extensive experience working with North American stock market data, including API-based data, streaming data, report-driven data, real-time or delayed market feeds, and financial datasets used in research and trading environments.
The candidate must have professional experience developing frontend applications using:
· Vanilla JavaScript
· Node.js
· RivetsJS
· Vue.js
· Nuxt.js
· PHP
· CSS
· Sass
The candidate must also have extended experience using Claude Code or comparable AI-assisted development tools as part of a professional software development workflow.
Market Data and Financial Domain Requirements
The candidate must have direct experience developing frontend products involving:
· Equity market data
· Options data
· Trading data
· Market research dashboards
· Options analytics
· Options Greeks
· Options chains
· Pricing-related analytics
· Trading-related workflows
· API-driven financial data interfaces
· Streaming or frequently updating market data
· Report-based financial data presentation
The candidate must understand how financial data is consumed, displayed, refreshed, validated, and released in a production fintech environment.
Leadership Responsibilities
As the Lead Developer, the candidate will be expected to guide technical implementation, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure that frontend development is aligned with product, QA, backend, and release requirements.
Responsibilities include:
· Leading development of complex frontend modules for a hosted stock market research dashboard.
· Building and maintaining financial data interfaces for equities, options, trading data, and analytics.
· Developing options analytics workflows, including data related to Greeks and options pricing inputs.
· Working with API-based, streamed, and report-based financial data sources.
· Supporting and improving existing frontend architecture built with Vanilla JavaScript, Node.js, RivetsJS, Vue.js, Nuxt.js, PHP, CSS, and Sass.
· Ensuring frontend features are accurate, performant, maintainable, and suitable for production financial environments.
· Collaborating with product managers, QA teams, backend developers, and release coordinators.
· Leading development work through Jira-based sprint cycles, release planning, QA validation, UAT, and production deployment.
· Delivering within tight release timelines while maintaining code quality and product stability.
· Supporting financial software releases during late-night or after-hours release windows when required.
· Applying Claude Code and AI-assisted development practices effectively while maintaining strong engineering judgment and code ownership.
Release and Delivery Expectations
The candidate must have experience working within formal fintech release processes, including Jira release cycles, sprint planning, QA coordination, defect resolution, release readiness, and production deployment.
Experience with late-night financial software releases is required. The candidate must understand the discipline required to release software outside regular business hours, especially in environments connected to market data, trading workflows, or customer-facing financial products.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a senior fintech frontend developer who has already built and delivered hosted financial research dashboards, options analytics tools, market data interfaces, or trading-related frontend platforms.
They should be technically strong, highly detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of complex financial frontend development. They must be able to understand market data behavior, work with options and trading datasets, and lead development through structured release cycles without requiring domain ramp-up on the fundamentals of capital markets software.
This role requires someone who has done this type of work before and can contribute immediately as a lead developer in a production fintech environment.
