Rocket Trucking Inc. is hiring Long Haul Truck Drivers to drive all over North America.
Title: Long haul truck driver (across North America)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Overtime, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening
Salary: $36.60 Hourly, for 40-60 Hours per week, Overtime will be after 60 hours/week
Travel expenses and relocation expenses covered by the company.

Experience: No experience required, on job training will be provided.

Specific Skills:
1. Operate and drive tractor-trailer units to transport refrigerated (reefer), heated van, and dry van freight throughout Canada and the United States.
2. Plan transportation routes, manage trip schedules, and coordinate delivery timelines while ensuring all required documentation is completed for domestic and cross-border shipments.
3. Perform detailed pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of tractors, trailers, refrigeration/heating systems, tires, brakes, lights, coupling devices, and other safety components to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
4. Inspect, load, unload, and secure freight using proper cargo securement procedures to prevent damage and ensure compliance with transportation safety regulations.
5. Monitor and maintain temperature-controlled shipments by operating reefer and heat van systems, checking temperature settings, and ensuring product quality throughout transportation.
6. Review and verify bills of lading, shipping manifests, delivery receipts, temperature records, customs paperwork, and other transportation documents required for shipments.
7. Maintain accurate records of cargo details, driving hours, mileage, fuel usage, vehicle inspections, and trip activities using electronic logging devices (ELDs) and fleet management systems.
8. Complete and maintain electronic and paper records, including logbooks, inspection reports, trip reports, and other required transportation documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
9. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, warehouse staff, and receiving facilities to coordinate pickups, deliveries, delays, and changes to scheduled routes.
10. Monitor vehicle and trailer performance during trips, identify mechanical issues, and complete minor roadside repairs or adjustments when required and permitted.
11. Check cargo weight distribution, trailer seals, axle weights, and load securement to ensure compliance with legal requirements and customer specifications.
12. Operate independently or as part of a team driving operation on long-haul routes while following applicable hours-of-service regulations.
13. Manage unexpected situations including vehicle breakdowns, severe weather, traffic delays, and roadside emergencies while prioritizing safety and cargo protection.
14. Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safe operating condition of tractors, trailers, and related equipment according to company standards.
15. Follow all federal, provincial, state, and company transportation, safety, environmental, and cross-border regulations while providing professional service to customers and partners.
16. Install, remove, and inspect tire chains during winter driving conditions and when required by road authorities, ensuring safe operation on snow, ice, and mountainous routes.
