Farm Supervisors
Maan Farms, located in Abbotsford, BC, is looking for 4 Farm Supervisors. This is a full-time, year-round position.
Duties:
Train general farm workers and assign them specific tasks. Create work schedules.
Coordinate and supervise the activities of general farm workers.
Inspect and monitor plants to prevent pest infestations.
Identify poorly drained areas in the fields and ensure they are addressed to prevent root rot.
Monitor soil moisture levels and irrigate as necessary.
Observe for weeds and manage them appropriately.
Oversee pruning, cultivating, and harvesting operations.
Record the weight of the fruits harvested.
Perform additional duties as assigned, which may include carrying out the same tasks as farm workers when necessary.
Skills required:
· Heavy lifting required.
· A minimum of 1 year of farming experience is required;
· Ability to work long hours, early mornings and weekends if required.
· Ability to work outdoors in ALL weather conditions.
Salary offered: $22.00/hr for 40 hours/week.
