Position Summary
D.D. (2019) Hospitality Corp. dba The Vic, Ascend Hotel Collection is seeking a motivated and organized Hotel Clerk Supervisor to oversee front desk operations and ensure exceptional guest service. The successful candidate will supervise hotel front desk clerks, coordinate daily operations with other hotel departments, and maintain high service standards while supporting the efficient operation of the hotel.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise, coordinate and schedule the daily activities of hotel front desk clerks and other guest service staff.
Coordinate activities with housekeeping, maintenance and other hotel departments to ensure efficient guest services.
Establish work schedules, assign duties and monitor staff performance to ensure quality customer service.
Perform the same duties as hotel clerks when required, including guest check-in, check-out and reservation services.
Assist guests with special requests, complaints and service-related issues, and resolve problems promptly and professionally.
Prepare operational reports, shift reports and other administrative records.
Train new hotel front desk clerks in job duties, hotel policies, safety procedures and customer service standards.
Monitor the operation of hotel computer systems, reservation software and office equipment, and arrange repairs or technical support when required.
Requisition office supplies and materials required for front desk operations.
Recommend and implement measures to improve productivity, operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and hotel operating procedures.
Employment Requirements
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
1 year to less than 2 years of related work experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with hotel reservation systems and computer applications is considered an asset.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail.
