About Cairomum
Cairomum is an Egyptian restaurant in Victoria, British Columbia, offering a wide variety of authentic Egyptian dishes. We are seeking an organized and dependable Assistant Restaurant Manager to support our daily restaurant operations and provide excellent customer service.

Main duties
Assist the restaurant manager with daily restaurant operations.
Supervise, coordinate and schedule restaurant employees.
Assign duties and monitor staff performance.
Train employees in job duties, customer service, food safety and workplace procedures.
Help maintain high standards of food quality, service and cleanliness.
Address customer questions and resolve complaints professionally.
Monitor inventory and arrange orders for food, beverages and restaurant supplies.
Assist with opening and closing procedures.
Maintain sales, inventory, scheduling and operating records.
Help control operating costs and reduce waste.
Ensure compliance with food-safety, health, workplace-safety and company requirements.
Support the recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
Assist the manager with promotions, menu implementation and service improvements.
Perform the manager’s duties when the restaurant manager is unavailable.
Requirements
Completion of secondary school.
[One/two] year(s) of restaurant, food-service or hospitality experience.
Previous supervisory or team-lead experience is [required/preferred].
Strong customer-service, communication and organizational skills.
Ability to supervise employees and work effectively in a busy restaurant.
Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays according to the posted schedule.
FoodSafe Level 1 certification is [required/preferred].
Serving It Right certification is required only if the position involves serving or supervising liquor service.
